Eustreptospondylus was a large Theropod dinosaur that lived during the Jurassic.

Fire and Water[]

A Eustreptospondylus goes rampaging in a South African Safari Park, killing tourists. At the beginning of the book, it kills two rangers named Jace and Ellie. It is later seen by Danny, Lester and Sophie killing three more rangers, and two lions. It is once again seen attacking hippos, but does very little damage. It nearly kills Sophie, Lester and Danny, but a Postosuchus interferes with the Eustreptospondylus and kills it. The remains of the Eustreptospondylus were later found by Danny and Sophie. In the book, it is described as being fast, dangerous, and tan coloured.

Series 5[]

Initially a Eustreptospondylus was confirmed to appear in Series 5. However, it was replaced by Balaur, which could be a Eustreptospondylus. But this is unlikely as the creature in Series 5 has a sickle shaped claw. It is possible that the creators exaggerated the Eustreptospondylus and added a sickle claw. But once again, it is too small to be a Eustreptospondylus or anything like it.
